What exactly is a lash lift?
In order to have pretty, long lashes, you don’t necessarily have to undergo the lash extensions procedure. Your own natural lashes, can also be really attractive – it’s enough to just undergo the lifting (lamination).
This final technique allows you to thicken and to lift each lash and to offer it a more refined curve, which is more aesthetic and also, to give them a more natural and vibrant color. All these details will offer your look some really great magic and it will also help create the effect of eyes wide open. Also, it’s great that you won’t have to paint your lashes every day or to undergo special maintenance, just like extensions.
Lash lift or lamination: a new word in lashmaking
Not long ago, in the lashmakers vocabulary, there appeared the term ‘lash lift’. Of course, this procedure has nothing to do with the skin lift (which we all heard about before) and it doesn’t require any surgical interventions! On the contrary – this is a quick, painless and safe method to improve the overall look of your lashes and improve their health.

What does this procedure entail?
Lash lift or lamination is a simple procedure that doesn’t take much time. In 20-30 minutes you can get a very visible and expressive effect. Among these, the stylist carefully separates the lower lashes with the upper ones with a silicon curler, after which they clean the lashes and the eyelid skin from any sebum or residual makeup. Then comes the actual steps of the procedure, which will result in the desired curvature. The lift result can last for up to 8-12 weeks, during which the lashes are fully regenerated.
To whom is this procedure dedicated for?
The lash lift procedure is mainly addressed for women that have long and lightly colored lashes or they seem ‘fallen’. Also, people that suffer from allergies caused from mascara or that don’t use this product regularly will enjoy the natural effect which the lift will provide to the lashes.
Moreover, this procedure is also extremely beneficial for the regeneration of the natural lashes, for those that decided to take a break from hair by hair extensions or who don’t want to do it at all.
Not lastly, lash lifts are also suitable for men that have lashes that are too long, especially for those that wear glasses or men whose lashes make it hard for them to see, as they grow towards the eyes.
What are the benefits of lash lifts
Unlike the regular extension, the lift is a much simpler and tamer procedure. Among its unique advantages the lash stylists mention:
- Procedure’s speed. In only half an hour, your lashes will become attractive, they will be longer, have more volume and be healthier.
- Simplicity. Such a procedure is a lot easier to do than extensions and the result is just as impressive.
- Natural/aesthetic look. After the lift, the lashes keep their natural look, which is now trending in fashion.
- Rentability. This is a much more beneficial procedure, if we take into account execution times versus end results.
- Durability. For two months after the lash lift, the lashes will remain curved and long.
- You don’t have to use mascara everyday anymore.

Counterindications for lash lifts
Unfortunately, even this relatively simple procedure, that can have its own counterindications.
- We don’t recommend it to be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding times, or in the post operatory phase, after blepharoplasty or any other surgical interventions around the eyes area. We recommend that you postpone the lash lift if you have any sort of affection around the eyes.
- The ingredients used in the lash lotions can cause allergies in some people, which is why the product has to first be tested on the skin. In order to do this, apply a small quantity of product behind the ear and wait a full minute to notice if there’s any sort of unwanted reaction.

Step by step procedure
- You remove the makeup from the client using lotions which don’t contain any sort of cremes or oils.
- You degrease the lashes.
- We apply on the inner eyelids a medical strip/gel patches, so we can isolate the lower lashes.
- At the curler’s base we apply using our brush a little lash lift glue, from the transparent receptacle and using our brush we glue them to the base of the lashes without leaving any space between the eyelid and the roots.
- We apply the same lotion all over the curler, using our Y brush we’re fixing the lashes on the silicone and we arrange them so that they don’t stick together.
- Using an applicator or microbrush we apply lotion number 1 on the entire lash length and we wait 10-15 minutes. We clean the lotion before moving on to the next step, using a clean applicator.
- We apply lotion number 2 for approximately 10-15 minutes. Again, we clean them.
- We apply the paint (for those clients that wish that) and we let it in to act for 5 minutes. Then we remove the excess.
- We apply the lash oil, lotion number 3, for 6-10 minutes and then we clean it with a degreasing lotion or a makeup removal product based on water.
10.We gently remove the curlers and patches/strips.
11.We rinse the eyes with warm water.
How to care the lashes after the lift?
Caring for lashes after the lift is the same as in the case of lash extensions.
It’s really important to keep away your lashes from humidity and that you don’t use mascara for at least 24 hours after the procedure. Also, don’t forget to remove the makeup around the eyes in order to remove the bacteria which may adhere there during the day. In order to do this properly, use special products for sensitive eyes and that don’t contain any oil.
Take into account our recommendations and choose depending on your needs. We’re waiting for you on our site with quality products for everything that is caring and beautifying the natural lashes!
